Police investigating the death of a man who was killed in a crash Sunday that ejected him from the car on Route 24 have charged the driver in his death, according to Massachusetts State Police.

Danielson Dacostatavares, 20, of Brockton, has been charged with motor vehicle homicide by negligent operation, operating under the influence of alcohol, and a marked lanes violation, according to police.

Around 3:10 a.m. Sunday, police responded to Route 24, near exit 20 in Stoughton, to find a passenger had been ejected from a car when it swerved and crashed into a rock ledge. The passenger, who has been identified as 21-year-old Fabrico Tavares of Brockton, was subsequently hit by six other vehicles and died, police said.
