2 children found home alone in Worcester placed in state custody
The children were as young as 6 months old.
Two children found home alone in a Worcester apartment Friday morning were placed in the custody of the Department of Children and Families, according to the Worcester Telegram.
Residents of the apartment building reported that they had heard children crying on Friday morning and the Worcester Fire Department was called to the scene to break down the door. Police found two children, who were as young as 6 months old, alone in the apartment, the Telegram reported.
The children appeared to be unharmed and are now in the custody of DCF, according to the Telegram. Authorities are investigating the incident.
