A 47-year-old woman discovered she was pregnant an hour before giving birth
“I was in a little shock,’’ said Judy Brown, of Beverly.
When severe abdominal pain sent 47 year-old Judy Brown to the hospital Wednesday night, she was shocked at her diagnosis: She was in labor.
A doctor at Beverly Hospital told Brown she was pregnant at about 6:20 p.m. An hour later, daughter Carolyn Rose was born, according to The Salem News.
“I was in a little shock,’’ Brown, a first-time mom, told The Salem News Thursday.
According to WCVB, Judy and husband Jason have been married for 22 years, and the couple’s approach to having kids was always, “If it happens, it happens.’’
The healthy baby weighed 8 pounds, 2 ounces and measured 20.5 inches long.
