Would you wear a fur made from roadkill?

Massachusetts furrier Pamela Paquin hopes so. She’s turning roadkill into high-end fashion accessories, reports The Boston Globe.

Paquin’s line, named Petite Mort Fur, means “little death’’ in French.

“I’ve been trying to foist this idea off on people for years,’’ Paquin told the Globe. “No one wanted to skin roadkill. I decided it would be me.’’

She creates hats, shawls, and other winter accessories out of deer, otter, rabbit, raccoon, beaver, and fox, according to the Globe. Her hats cost between $380 and $500, while larger items such as hand muffs and neckwarmers cost upward of $1,000. She sells her products locally at Newbury Handmade Market in Boston. She also sells the fur online at Etsy and her own website.
