Boston motorcyclist killed after rear-end crash with pickup truck in Carlisle
Carlisle police say they’re investigating a Wednesday afternoon crash that killed a 69-year-old Boston motocyclist.
James P. McMahon, of Readville, died after he crashed into the rear of a Chevrolet pickup truck being driven by a Carlisle man at the intersection of Lowell and North Road around 4:30 p.m.
Police say a “preliminary investigation indicates’’ the 22-year-old truck driver put on his blinker to make a left turn at the intersection, and when he slowed to make the turn, McMahon crashed into the rear of the truck.
McMahon was found at the scene with “serious injuries’’ and was taken by ambulance to Lahey Hospital and Medical Center, where he later died.
