State police are investigating the death of a Sandwich infant.
The infant was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead after emergency officials were called to the home Tuesday morning, reports WHDH.
In a statement released Tuesday afternoon, the Cape & Islands District Attorney’s office said that there were no obvious signs of trauma on the child, but state police and medical examiner’s office will conduct a through investigation.
