If you like Mexican food and glamour, the Seaport District may be your destination of choice in 2017.

Big Night Entertainment Group, the company behind Empire, Gem, and Red Lantern, is raising $8 million to build a Mexican restaurant and lavish nightclub in the three-floor, 22,000-square-foot space along Northern Avenue, reports The Boston Globe.

“I’ve been looking for a nightclub space for a lot of years,’’ Ed Kane of Big Night Entertainment Group, told the Globe. “It’s always been our belief that if we design a really glamorous nightclub it would be the first of its kind in the city.’’

According to Kane, the first floor will be a luxurious lobby and coat check, the second floor will house the Mexican restaurant, and the third floor will be a nightclub with a “Hollywood regency and modern glamor’’ theme.
