Everett High School football player stabbed
“We’re praying that he’s gonna be OK,’’ said John DiBiaso, coach of Everett’s Crimson Tide.
An Everett High School football player was stabbed early Sunday morning, hours after he scored a late touchdown resulting in an upset win over St. John’s Prep, reported The Boston Globe.
Marvens Fedna, 16, a junior at Everett High, is in “critical but stable’’ condition at Massachusetts General Hospital, the Middlesex District Attorney’s office told the Globe.
“We’re praying that he’s gonna be OK,’’ John DiBiaso, coach of Everett’s Crimson Tide, told the Globe. “He’s in one of the best hospitals in the world. Just hoping for a full recovery.’’
The stabbing happened on the corner of Broadway and Chestnut Streets in Everett at 12:30 a.m. Sunday. School Superintendent Frederick Foresteire told the Associated Press that Fedna was walking home from a party with some friends when the stabbing happened.
