Cambridge Police are searching for a driver that struck a cyclist and left the scene.

Cambridge police are searching for the driver of a pickup truck who hit a bicyclist and fled the scene.

The crash occurred on Sept. 29 around 7:15 a.m. while the bicyclist, a 35-year-old from Somerville, was biking to work on Webster Avenue, according to police. The truck driver honked and yelled before hitting the bicycle’s handlebars, which caused the rider to fall, police said. The bicyclist’s left arm was injured and required surgery later, according to police.
