Pet owners are on edge after a cat was shot with a pellet gun in N.H.
Neighbors say there have been reports of similar animal injuries in the area.
A cat named Max was euthanized due to injuries from pellet wounds and now Merrimack, N.H. neighbors are nervous about their pets, according to a Fox25 News report.
Barry Fish, Max’s owner, told Fox25 the cat came home injured and in pain last week after roaming outside. When he took his pet to the veterinarian, he discovered the cat had been shot.
“We saw an X-ray with a picture of a bone, and it’s all shattered by something small, like a .22 or a pellet,’’ Fish told Fox25.
The cat had two bullet holes in his body, one in the leg and one in the chest. Neighbors told Fox25 they are worried about their pets because there have been reports of similar injuries in the area.
Merrimack Police are investigating the incident and have asked the public for help finding the person responsible:
