An Uxbridge man made a false bomb threat on a flight leaving Logan Airport Wednesday night, according to Massachusetts State Police.

Dennis Campbell, 55, was arrested around 7 p.m. by state police. He made a statement in the presence of other passengers aboard a United Airlines flight that implied there was a bomb in his bag, police said. Police boarded the plane to investigate the claim, delaying the flight for about 50 minutes.

While police determined the threat to be false, Campbell was arrested and held on $250 bail, police said. He will be arraigned in East Boston District Court Thursday.
