At least Fenway Park has baseball’s speediest WiFi

If we can’t rule the field, at least we can upload selfies the fastest.

Fenway Park selfie-takers, you’re going to love this.

Red Sox fans disappointed in their team’s performance this season can at least claim bragging rights to the speediest WiFi in the major leagues, according to a BetaBoston report.

Fenway Park has the fastest upload and dowload speeds in the league, reveals a new survey from RootMetrics. Fenway, which upgraded its WiFi system this past summer, was 22 percent faster than its closest competitor, Detroit’s Comerica Park.

RootMetrics measured how fast baseball fans can check e-mail, upload videos, and use apps from inside Fenway Park during a Red Sox-White Sox game in July.
