Two suspects identified after morning gunfire outside MBTA’s Forest Hills station
Two people were arrested after shots were fired outside the MBTA’s Forest Hills Orange Line station Friday morning, according to the Transit Police.
Lt. Richard Sullivan said a man and a woman were arrested shortly after the shooting at 8 a.m. Friday. A firearm was recovered at the scene.
Boston Police identified the suspects Friday evening as Kisean Parker, 18, of Boston, and Kavasia Lowe, 18, also of Boston. During the booking process, a gun and taser were recovered from Lowe’s handbag, the department said.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers were informed that four victims were involved in a verbal altercation on a bus with a male and a female. The four victims reported that during the altercation the female brandished what appeared to be a taser and threatened them. After exiting the bus, the male suspect took out a firearm and fired several shots in the direction of the four victims. Officers recovered ballistic evidence on scene.
Officers in the station saw two people matching the descriptions of the suspects and detained them.
Parker has been charged with assault by means of a dangerous weapon (firearm), discharging a firearm within city limits, unlawful posession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, and discharging a firearm within 500 ft. of a dwelling. Lowe was charged with assault by means of a dangerous weapon (taser), unlawfully carrying a dangerous weapon (taser), and unlawful possession of a firearm.
Parker and Lowe will be arraigned on Monday in West Roxbury District Court.
The incident, which was not caught on camera, is being jointly investigated by the Transit Police and Boston Police.
