Say hello to your Massachusetts State Police rowing team
For the first time in the 51 year history of the event, the Massachusetts State Police will be entering a team into the Head of the Charles Regatta.
As the team presumably won’t have a flashing blue light on board, the MSP posted short bios on Facebook about each of the rowing team members to help people identify them. The team is comprised of all ex-collegiate rowers, a few of whom will be racing against teams from their alma mater.

The team has been training for about a month, the Boston Herald reports, but that hasn’t stopped the four man team from joining the 55 team field. It also hasn’t stopped them getting some cool uniforms from Boston-based sportswear manufacturer and official race sponsor, New Balance, or interest from other staties who want to row with them in the offseason.
