Boston residents want public transportation within 10 minutes of each household, and MBTA trains and buses that arrive on time 90 percent of the time as part of a new report released today, reports The Boston Globe.
As part of Go Boston 2030, the city asked more than 6,000 residents for feedback on the city’s transportation system.
Other items on peoples’ transportation wish list include lowering the city’s default speed limit from 30 miles per hour to 25 miles per hour, increasing the number of train stations that have bus service, shuttle service, and access to car-share or bike-share stations, and reducing the percentage of income that poorer households spend on transportation.
