You can eat a one-pound meatball at the Big E

[fragment number=0]

If you’re heading to the Big E, save your appetite.

During the Springfield-based fair’s 17-day run, a one-pound, cheese-stuffed, meatball coated in marinara sauce from Frigo’s Gourmet Foods will be on the menu for hungry fairgoers.

A one-pound meatball might sound like a lot on your plate, but that’s just for beginners. If you’re scoffing at the single stuffed meatball, check out Frigo’s Food Frenzy challenge: three of the cheese-filled one-pound meatballs with a pound and a half of pasta covered in marinara sauce and a loaf of garlic bread.

The challenge has a ticket price of $35, but is free and comes with a T-shirt on the side for anyone who can eat it all in less than 40 minutes.
