Michael Bergin, the Malden man who rose to fame after a video of him discovering a sunfish went viral, will appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live Tuesday night.

“More to come on Tuesday nites Jimmy Kimmel Show,’’ Bergin wrote on Facebook. A spokesman for Jimmy Kimmel Live confirmed to Boston.com Monday that Bergin will appear as a guest that night.

The video, which was originally posted to Bergin’s Facebook, has garnered more than 3 million views in the last week and been picked up by virtually every website on the Internet. During the five-minute clip, Bergin wonders aloud if he’s seeing a giant tuna, a baby whale, or possibly Moby Dick.
