Bella Bond’s alleged killer had a violent, grim past
Michael McCarthy was obsessed with demonology, conspiracy theories, and had a past saturated with drugs and violence, sources close to him tell The Boston Globe.
The live-in boyfriend of Bella Bond’s mother was arraigned earlier this week in court and charged with the murder of the girl the world had come to know as Baby Doe. Prosecutors told the court the South Boston native punched the little girl to death after becoming convinced she was filled with the demons he spoke of.
Former roommates and acquaintances painted a picture of a violent man, the Globe reports. Those who’d come into contact with him said was violent towards his significant others, spoke often of demons, and claimed his dog could sense them.
