New search warrant executed at Rachelle Bond’s Dorchester home

Investigators executed a new search warrant Wednesday for the Dorchester home of the mother of Bella Bond, 40-year-old Rachelle Bond, a State Police spokesman told The Boston Globe.

A search warrant was first executed at the Maxwell Street home last Thursday following a tip to Boston Police that broke the Baby Doe case open. Within 24 hours, police had identified Baby Doe, the body of the young girl found on Deer Island in June, as Bella Bond and arrested Bond and her boyfriend in the case.

On Wednesday, reporters saw police taking a refrigerator out of the home, according to The Globe. Investigators have said that Bella’s body was kept in the refrigerator prior to being dumped into the water.

Bond’s boyfriend, Michael McCarthy, 35, has been charged with Bella’s murder. Bond has been charged as an accessory after the fact. Both pleaded not guilty to charges on Monday.
