The forensic artist who created the Baby Doe image talked about the connection she felt to the young girl in new video released by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Christi Andrews used morgue photos, autopsy information, and art to create the image of Baby Doe, found in a trash bag on Deer Island in June. The composite image was part of a nationwide campaign was launched to try to learn her identity.
Last week, law enforcement officials identified Baby Doe as 2-year-old Bella Bond, who lived in Dorchester.
Bond’s mother, Rachelle D. Bond, and her boyfriend, Michael P. McCarthy, have been charged in the case. The young girl’s father alleged that McCarthy killed his daughter because he became convinced she was possessed by demons.
