Police say Vermont teen sped by officer at 125 mph
A teen was pulled over on I-91 last week in Rockingham, Vermont after speeding past a trooper at over 125 mph, according to Vermont State Police.
Lt. Dan Trudeau was in an unmarked cruiser driving southbound on the interstate September 15 when a Subaru Impreza sped by him, according to a police release. The car then weaved through traffic before increasing its speed again, police said.
Trudeau pulled the vehicle over, and the operator was identified as 18-year-old Austin Oliver of Strafford, Vermont. Oliver told Trudeau he had been driving 135 mph, according to police. Oliver was charged with negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
