Arraignment of Bella Bond suspects marked by outbursts

Rachelle Bond, 40, and Michael P. McCarthy, 35, were arraigned in Dorchester Municipal Court this morning for their alleged involvement in the murder of Bella Bond. The arraignment was marked with the outbursts of those who claimed a relationship with Bella.

Megan Fewtrell, 36, claims to be Bella’s godmother. She said she called the tip line after seeing the composite image, and she came to court to see her former best friend face charges.

When Assistant District Attorney David Deakin detailed the prosecution’s timeline—including how Rachelle Bond told the police that McCarthy called Bella a “demon’’ whose time it was to die—Fewtrell lashed out:

Later, as McCarthy was being led out of the courtroom, Bella’s biological father spoke out. Joseph Amoroso said that he never met Bella, but that he came back to Massachusetts from Florida in August to get custody of her.

In court, he released this frustration on McCarthy:
