It’s Labor Day weekend, and that means everyone’s traveling, and when everyone travels at once, security checkpoints aren’t always so smooth.

How can you make your commute easier? Pay attention to the security guidelines so as to expedite screening, Logan International Airport officials say.

Officials are reminding the some-60,000 people expected to pass through Logan security checkpoints Friday that lines are often slowed when passengers forget to remove those pesky prohibited items from their bags, according to The Boston Globe.

Michael McCarthy, a spokesman for the Transportation Security Administration, told the Globe that passengers should check the TSA’s website or the MyTSA app to see which items can go through security.
