Roughly 1,000 Donald Trump supporters showed up for the Republican presidential candidate’s campaign rally Friday night at the Norwood mansion of Ernie Boch Jr., according to The Boston Globe. The event featured Trump campaign hat-shaped cakes, former New England Patriots players, numerous protesters outside, and — of course — Trump, who dished on everything from Tom Brady to the Great Wall of China to John Kerry.
Both the real estate mogul and the car dealership mogul, respectively, said the event was not a fundraiser, despite signs outside requesting “Please have checks made payable to Donald J. Trump for President, Inc.’’
