Whitey Bulger looks forward to reading Boston magazine in prison

James “Whitey’’ Bulger AP

You can take the gangster out of Boston, but you can’t take away his magazine subscription.

James “Whitey’’ Bulger sent Bostonmagazine a hand-written letter from prison with his change of address, the magazine reported. He asked for his subscription to be forwarded to his correct address, which he taped to the lined paper.

In careful cursive, he wrote, “look forward to your magazine,’’ and signed his given name, James Bulger, beneath.

Bulger, 86, is serving two lifetime sentences at the high-security prison in Coleman, Florida.
