Video: Watch closing arguments in the prep-school rape case
For six days, jurors in the St. Paul’s School rape trial have examined text messages and email evidence. They’ve heard testimony from defendant Owen Labrie, his now 16-year-old accuser, their friends and families, and detectives.
Labrie, 19, has denied having sex with the girl and said the makeout session was consensual. The girl said they did have sex, after she had told him no.
The trial wrapped up Thursday, and portions of the closing arguments can be seen below. Jurors began deliberations Thursday afternoon and went home for the day without reaching a verdict.
Labrie is facing three aggravated felony sexual assault counts, as well as other charges.
