Winter is coming, and people are already buying snowblowers

Stores always seem to stock for the next season insanely early – Easter candy in February, Christmas decorations in October – but snowblowers in August?

Consumers are demanding them, The Boston Globe reports. After this year’s historic winter, businesses are stocking items such as snowblowers and shovels now to make them available for consumers.

But that’s not all available now, according to the Globe. Fall may not begin officially until September 23rd, but stores have stocked pumpkin-flavored craft beer, Halloween chocolates, and even Christmas trees, for weeks.

Some hardware stores are even skipping over fall, favoring snow-removal tools over rakes and leaf blowers, the Globe reports.
