Prosecutors in New Hampshire today will continue to make their case against Owen Labrie, a 19-year-old man charged with raping a younger St. Paul’s School classmate last year.

The now-16-year-old girl testified and faced defense cross-examination last week. Prosecutors also had the girl’s mom, best friend, school nurse, sexual assault nurse and emergency room doctor on the stand in the first few days of the trial.

Labrie is expected to testify this week.

Prosecutors say Labrie raped the girl two days before he graduated from the elite boarding school in May of last year. He invited her to hook up as part of a sexualized game called the Senior Salute, in which graduating seniors invite underclassmen to spend time with them before graduation.

Labrie and his friends were in competition to see how many girls they could “slay’’ before they graduated, prosecutors said.

More testimony about the Senior Salute is expected today.

Defense attorneys have argued that there was no way for Labrie to know that the girl was not okay with their interaction, and pointed to cordial emails and Facebook messages exchanged after the alleged assault.
