Boston’s newest police puppy has a name
And Viggo was his name-o.
The Boston Police Department’s newest K9 has a name.
The department asked for the public’s help in giving the 11-week-old Belgian Shepherd a moniker. Their only requirement was that they had to be strong, commanding, two-syllable names.
They said in a tweet they’d received over a thousand suggestions in less than an hour.
Earlier today, Police Commissioner William Evans, the head K-9 trainer officer and the Junior Police Academy announced their selection from over 20,000 submissions.
Say hello to Viggo!
