Police release surveillance photos of suspect from sexual assault near Harvard University
State police released surveillance photos Thursday of a bicyclist believed the be the assailant in the sexual assault near Harvard University’s Cambridge campus earlier this week.
The man in the photo is believed to have sexually assaulted a woman early Tuesday morning near Harvard’s Weld Boat House on the Charles River and Memorial Drive. The victim had just left a Cambridge bar. Her screams for help got the attention of two witnesses, who scared off her attacker.
The victim recevied treatment at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital.
The suspect was described as a white male in his late 20s to early 30s with a stocky build and light brown or blond hair.
