How bad was Boston’s snowfall this winter? It’s almost July, and it still hasn’t melted.

Mayor Marty Walsh announced a social media contest Thursday to have residents guess the date the last pile of garbage-infused snow in the city’s snow farm will melt.

To enter, participants must tweet at @Marty_Walsh and use the hashtag #BOSMeltNow, with the month and day they think that last flake of snow will melt at the snow farm on Tide Street.

The winners get to attend a meet-and-great with Walsh.

As of Thursday evening, guesses ranged from early July to mid-August to never.

Based on science, we’ll also take never.
