The Franklin Park Zoo welcomed a new member to its family Thursday morning: a baby western lowland gorilla.

Zookeepers haven’t named the newborn (they don’t even know if it’s male or female yet), but promise that details about a naming contest are coming soon.

Western lowland gorillas are considered critically endangered in the wild, threatened chiefly by disease and the bushmeat trade. But they’re thriving at the Franklin Park Zoo: this baby is mother Kiki’s fourth with her mate, Kitombe, according to Zoo New England.
