Key transportation officials are pushing back on Governor Charlie Baker’s MBTA reform plans, according to The Boston Globe.

Last week, a panel convened by Baker back in February released a special report containing several recommendations on fixing the T. One recommendation was the creation of a five-person “Fiscal and Management Control Board,’’ mostly picked by Baker, to run the MBTA for three to five years. Another called for Baker to ask all members of the MassDOT board that currently runs the T to resign by June 30, a move Baker made Thursday.

But Frank DePaola, who became interim general manager for the MBTA after Beverly Scott’s resignation, has expressed concerns about creating a new agency, and one member of the board, Andrew Whittle, said he didn’t think the resignation of himself and his colleagues would be a step in the right direction.
