Man In Serious Condition After Getting Stuck Under Red Line Train
A man trapped under a Red Line train at Downtown Crossing on Wednesday is in serious condition and receiving treatment after firefighters pulled him to safety, according to MBTA Transit Police.
The Boston Fire Department said they employed heavy duty jacks and other special tools to free the victim, who was conscious at the time of his rescue. MBTA Transit Police are investigating the incident but said no foul play was suspected.
Boston Fire said it responded to the incident at 2:25 p.m. At 3:38 p.m., the MBTA tweeted that regular service was resuming.
