At about 7:45 p.m. Sunday, Patrik Finnerty, of Braintree, allegedly crossed over the northbound tracks at Andrew Square Station in South Boston, then climbed over the dividing wall, and hopped over the southbound tracks.

Police found Finnerty sitting on a bench waiting for his train. He told officers he was just trying to get to the other side, police said. Because of his stunt, trains had to be suspended in both directions, as the rails’ electricity was turned off.
