MBTA Bus Driver, Spitting Passenger in Court Today
A passenger and bus driver who were involved in a fight on an MBTA bus last year will both be arraigned today in Boston Municipal Court on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
Homer Henderson, 52, of Roxbury, allegedly spit on Terri Felix, 41, of Brockton, during a dispute on a Route 1 bus on December 20, 2014. Felix then allegedly followed Henderson off of the bus and hit him with a wooden chock block, knocking him over and causing injuries that the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office said sent Henderson to Boston Medical Center.
Felix reported the passenger’s actions, but not her retaliation—however, the whole incident was captured on video taken by another rider, and Felix was suspended. MBTA spokesman Joe Pesaturo said Felix is no longer employed with the MBTA.
