The man who prosecutors say “called in the hit’’ against Kenny Lamour — the 21-year-old man fatally shot in Jamaica Plain earlier this month —was arraigned on a murder charge Friday at West Roxbury Municipal Court, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office.

Donte Henley, 24, of South Boston, was working on a snow-shoveling crew alongside Lamour on February 11, the day of the shooting. While there, prosecutors say Henley called and texted Josiah Zachery, 18, allegedly telling him to come to the site with a gun.

Henley also told Zachery where Lamour was and what he was wearing, according to the DA’s office.

After receiving those messages, authorities say Zachery came to the scene and shot Lamour to death. Zachery, who also allegedly shot at a police officer who gave chase as he fled, is currently being held without bail on murder and assault charges. He will be back in court on March 12.

Judge David Breen ordered Henley held without bail at his Friday arraignment. Henley is due back in court April 9.
