Roofer Allegedly Robs Two Bedford Homes
Bedford police arrested an employee of a local roofing company today for allegedly breaking into and robbing two homes.
A resident left home this morning and returned four hours later to find a bedroom ransacked, including empty jewelry boxes, according to police. An investigation led to a nearby roofing company where Steven Butler, 26, of Medford, was discovered to be in possession of the stolen items, such a jewelry, luggage, and electronics, police said. Some of the items belonged to a resident of another nearby home, police said.
Butler was charged with two counts of breaking and entering during the daytime to commit a felony, two counts of receiving stolen property over $250, and one count of possession of a Class C drug (tramadol).
