Optimistic MBTA Will Have Limited Service on Monday

Joe Pesaturo, MBTA

Despite the latest round of heavy snow and a slew of past weather issues, the T is going to try to operate on Monday.

Here’s what’s running when, according to the MBTA’s website:

Red Line

Trains will run between Alewife and Andrew Station. No train service south of that, but there will be a “limited substitute bus service’’ along the Ashmont and Braintree lines.

Orange Line

More “limited’’ (let’s just assume that everything is limited from now on) train service between [fragment number=0] (UPDATE: it’s going to Sullivan Square now) and Back Bay. Bus service will be available for stations north of Sullivan and south of Back Bay.

Blue Line

[fragment number=1] UPDATE: the entire blue line is open today! No shuttle buses for you!

Green Line

Trains will run from Lechmere to Kenmore and Symphony. The Route 57 bus will stop at B branch stations and the E branch will use the Route 39 bus. The C and D branches will have shuttle service.

Commuter Rail

All lines are operating on a Saturday schedule. Delays are expected.

Buses

Are also running on a Saturday schedule, which means several routes will not be open. In addition, many buses are driving on “snow routes.’’ Check the MBTA website to see if your bus will be on the road or not.
