Jury questioning in the trial of accused Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev will most likely be completed by the end of next week, court officials said Tuesday.

Questioning was delayed this week due to a record snowfall, which dumped 40.5 inches in a seven-day period and made for hazardous travel conditions. Despite delays, court officials say the process has been “progressing satisfactorily.’’

The court does not have an expected start date for the trial. Jury selection began January 5. At the time, U.S. District Court Judge George O’Toole Jr., the judge overseeing the trial, said hearings would begin January 26.

“I expect the trial will start soon after the questioning,’’ Ginny Hurley, outreach director for the U.S. District Court of Massachusetts told Boston.com. “It could be the same day, it could be the next day, it could be the following week. It’s whatever the court decides.’’
