Alleged Aaron Hernandez Prison Letter Has One Bid on EBay For Two Grand

As of Wednesday afternoon there was only one bid on the auction, which started at $2,000.

A letter allegedly written from prison by former New England Patriot Aaron Hernandez was posted to eBay on Monday, with bidding starting at $2,000.

The seller claims that the letter — written on the pages of the book “Bad Boy Brawly Brown’’ by Walter Mosley — is from the former Patriots tight end while he was in Bristol County Jail. Hernandez is being charged with killing Odin Lloyd in 2013.

Though the message is digitally whited out on the online posting, the seller teases the contents to include Hernandez’s description of his treatment by correctional officers and emotions regarding his trial and playing football.

In October 2013, TMZ Sports reported Hernandez was being investigated for passing sectret notes to fellow inmates within the pages of library books, a practice that is forbidden. The anonymous seller told TMZ he got the book from someone who snuck it out of jail.

As of 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, there was one bid placed for the letter.

Interestingly, “Bad Boy Brawly Brown’’ tells the fictional story of a man charged with murder who is ultimately able to prove his innocence.

Whether that fate remains for Hernandez is to be seen. Opening arguments in his murder trial are set to begin Thursday.
