Tsarnaev Jury Selection Canceled Tuesday and Wednesday
Jury selection will resume on Thursday in the trial of accused Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, court officials said Tuesday morning.
Due to snowfall totals and high winds from the blizzard across the state, Judge George A. O’Toole canceled Tuesday’s jury selection and said Wednesday’s session would be “iffy.’’
Though a jury was initially expected to be set by January 26, lawyers have been going through potential jurors at a slow pace “in the interest of thoroughness,’’ the court said. A total of 98 jurors have been questioned so far over seven days of proceedings, or about 14 per day.
