Somerville Man Stabbed Saturday Morning
A 27-year-old Somerville man was seriously injured in a stabbing early Saturday morning, the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office said.
Responding to a 911 call reporting a person lying on the ground, police discovered the man just before 1:30 a.m. on Broadway near the intersection of Hinkley Street. He was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The results of a preliminary investigation suggest that the victim was stabbed on Hinkley Street and then walked to Broadway, where he collapsed. Authorities believe the man, who is not being publicly identified, was walking with another person before he was stabbed.
The DA’s office asks anyone who may have seen something near the Dunkin’ Donuts on Broadway early Saturday morning to contact Somerville Police Department Detective Ernest Nadile at 617-625-1600, ext. 7235.
