Haverhill Woman Struck and Killed by SUV in Peabody
A Haverhill woman was struck and killed by an SUV while walking on Route 1 in Peabody early Tuesday morning.
State Police responded at about 12:18 a.m. to a report of an accident involving a pedestrian in front of Red’s Tavern on Route 1 North. The 33-year-old had been walking in the left travel lane when she was struck by a 2012 Honda CRV, according to police.
The woman was transported to Lahey Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead. The driver of the Honda, a 51-year-old Ipswich man, sustained no injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
