Traffic Copter Makes Emergency Landing in Woburn

A traffic helicopter was forced to make an emergency landing in a Woburn parking lot Tuesday morning.

State Police told Boston.com they were notified shortly before 8 a.m. this morning that the helicopter had been required to make an emergency landing due to technical issues. The landing was made safely in the parking lot of the Tower Office Park in Woburn, off of Route 128.

The helicopter was carrying a pilot and photographer at the time, neither of whom were injured. About an hour later, an FAA representative arrived to inspect the aircraft, and it was removed by ground transport.
