Man Struck, Killed by Orange Line Train at Roxbury Crossing
There were major delays reported on the MBTA Orange Line Saturday night after a man was struck and killed by a northbound train near the Roxbury Crossing platform.
MBTA Transit Police said they received a call of a struck man around 6:25 p.m. Police did not release his identity, but described him as a white male in his 30s who was trespassing on the tracks at the time of collision. One witness on the train described seeing a “wrapped up’’ body as she exited the station.
Passengers on the train were escorted to the platform and placed on shuttle busses, MBTA officials said. Shuttle service replaced trains between Back Bay and Forest Hills.
