Chelsea Man Wanted in Connection With Double Shooting
Suffolk County prosecutors and Chelsea Police are searching for 36-year-old Hector Enamorado of Chelsea in connection with a double shooting early Sunday morning that left one man dead and a second hospitalized, according to Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel F. Conley.
According to Conley’s statement, Chelsea Police arrived at a Chester Avenue apartment building a little after 3 a.m. on Sunday, where they found a 34-year-old man outside the building, injured. The man directed officers inside, where another 29-year-old man had been shot.
Both men were transported to Massachusetts General Hospital, where the 34-year-old is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The 29-year-old died from his injuries. Neither victim was a resident of the building where they were found and officials have not released their names.
State and Chelsea Police say they have made “significant progress’’ in their investigation but ask that anyone with information about the shootings or Enamorado’s location to contact the Chelsea Police anonymous tip line at 617-466-4880 or the Suffolk County State Police Detective Unit at 617-727-8817.
