One Confirmed Dead in 3-Alarm Waltham Blaze
One person is dead after a three alarm fire broke out at 48 Albemarle Road in Waltham Tuesday morning.
“We received a call at 9:22 a.m. for a structure fire. Before arrival there was heavy smoke showing from the area, and when we pulled onto the scene we saw fire from a one-and-a-half floor wood frame structure,’’ Lieutenant Scott Perry of the Waltham Fire Department told Boston.com.
Jennifer Mieth, spokeswoman for state Fire Marshall Stephen Coan confirmed a single, unidentified person died in the blaze.
Firefighters on scene brought the blaze under control. Perry had no confirmation from the scene on damage to other buildings in the densely populated area.
