Fall River Man Arrested on OUI Charges After Fatal Accident
A Fall River man was arrested after police said he killed a pedestrian on I-195 while driving drunk in Somerset Friday night.
Horacio Goncalo, 55, was charged with operating under the influence of alcohol.
Police responded to a report of a single car crash near exit 4B just after 8:30 p.m. There, investigators said Goncalo’s 2004 Toyota hit a pedestrian who was walking on the highway.
The victim, not yet named by police, died from his injuries at the scene of the accident.
Police said Goncalo could face additional charges as their investigation continues.
