N.H. Woman Goes Directly to Jail After Allegedly Slapping Boyfriend Over Monopoly Game
Alyssa Ferraro did not pass go and did not collect $200.
The 21-year-old Hooksett, N.H., woman was arrested and charged with domestic violence-related simple assault after a Monopoly game with her boyfriend went very wrong.
Police responded to a 911 call late Sunday night over a domestic disturbance. Ferraro allegedly told the responding officer that she had an argument with her boyfriend over the classic Parker Brothers board game and slapped him in the face, according to Sergeant James Bradley of the Hooksett Police Department.
The boyfriend did not require medical attention. Bradley could not confirm if Ferraro and her boyfriend were fighting over who could play with the new cat token or whether someone dealt himself one too many $500 bills.
Ferraro did not have a “get out of jail free’’ card, so she was released on $2,000 bail (or the price of landing on Boardwalk with a hotel). She will appear before the 6th Circuit Court in Hooksett on December 31.
